SpaceX prepares for launch

The static fire test last week of SpaceX's Falcon 9 in preparation for Monday's launch of the Inmarsat-5 went without a hiccup.

The satellite, weighing an estimated 13,000 pounds, is believed to be the heaviest ever lifted into a geostationary orbit by one of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rockets.

Instead, the spent rocket will fall into the Atlantic Ocean, as numerous rocket boosters did before SpaceX and others like Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin led the charge toward reusable rockets. The launch window is 49 minutes. Unlike most of its missions these days, SpaceX will not try to recover the Falcon 9 post-takeoff. It will carry the Inmarsat 5 F4 communications satellite into orbit. It will launch from pad 39A of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Duterte attends Belt and Road Forum in China
While some see Beijing's project as a geopolitical power play, Mr Xi has insisted that the Belt and Road is open to everybody. Xi said that 68 countries have signed the agreement of cooperation.

The Falcon 9 rocket will not be reclaimed, and as a result the rocket is sans legs or grid fins.

The satellite, which is the fourth satellite in Inmarsat's Global Xpress network, will be the heaviest load lofted by a Falcon 9 yet, Floridatoday.com reported on Sunday. Unlike past missions, however, Monday's launch saw the Falcon 9 deliver a massive payload to space, and never return to Earth, all for the sake of better internet. It's the private company's 6th successful flight this year.

This particular satellite is one of the heaviest SpaceX has put into the sky.

New Microsoft Surface Laptop: Specs, Design and New Windows 10 OS
The Surface Laptop , though, will perhaps be the most powerful laptop based on Windows 10 S , which was also launched on Tuesday. Windows 10 S mainly meant to run on Windows 10 education PCs from Microsoft partners like Acer and Dell at sub $200 prices.

NROL-76, the designation for the classified satellite launch, was SpaceX's first dedicated mission for the military.

The Inmarsat-5 family of spacecraft is built on the Boeing 702HP satellite bus.

The satellite launched Monday joins three more just like it in space, finishing a $1.6 billion investment into a high-speed broadband constellation providing connectivity to devices on land, at sea and in the air.
