20 injured as van ploughs into pedestrians on London bridge

The chilling assault began about 10 p.m. local time when a white van barreled into pedestrians walking along the bridge in the heart of the capital city.

They just went randomly along Borough High Street stabbing people, ' he said.

Gerard Vowls told The Guardian newspaper that he saw a woman being stabbed by three men at the south end of London Bridge.

"Following updates from police and security officials, I can confirm that the awful incident in London is being treated as a potential act of terrorism".
